MOFF Corporation has run various animal cafes in Japan. In September 2023, we open the first new Cat Café MOFF in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. We wish to provide opportunities to deepen our understanding of animals by getting to know them and fostering a fondness for Cat Café MOFF.
The Message from Sohei Yaguchi, Founder of Cat Café MOFF.
In September 1st, 2023, we opened our first animal cafe, “Cat Café MOFF” in Honolulu, Hawaii of the U.S.
My wife and children have American citizenship, and we have many relatives living in the United States. Because of this, we used to visit the U.S. frequently as a family, almost like going back home. We also visited Hawaii several times before the pandemic. Therefore, I desired to expand our business and live in the United States in the future.
However, the opportunity suddenly came. Due to COVID-19, our work environment has rapidly shifted to remote work. This change allowed me to establish a new work style managing my business from anywhere. Additionally, many businesses withdrew during the pandemic, which provided more options to choose a location to open new stores.
Now, I am planning to start Cat Cafés with two well-known places among Japanese people, the International Marketplace and Ala Moana Center in Hawaii. Without the pandemic, this plan might have not been realized.
From Honolulu, Hawaii, I hope to develop our business utilizing the knowledge cultivated in Japan for a long time.

Our Story
In Japan, MOFF was established in 2014 to achieve a society where animals and humans can live happily with smiles. We provide a place where they can learn about animals and contemplate their well-being in their daily life for those who love animals and would like to have pets but find it difficult to keep them at home, or for those who have had limited opportunities to interact with animals.
Cat Café MOFF was open on September 1st, 2023 at International Market Place in Honolulu, Hawaii. In our lounge, there are professional caregivers who understand the behavior of cats properly. The café has an open and inviting atmosphere, where visitors can interact with around 20 cats of various breeds. Guests can experience the behavioral changes by different breeds and personalities, and observe the various expressions of the cats.
The café serves as a community space for all animal lovers, those who cannot keep pets, and existing cat owners. We decided to open the cafe in a shopping mall for customers who have not had the chance to interact with animals before in order to generate interest in animals through cats, leveraging the accessible environment.
Moreover, guests can encounter uncommon cat breeds in Hawaii. All the cats in the cafe are given Hawaiian names to make them more relatable to the local community. The clean and well-maintained space allows guests to enjoy interacting with the cats while sipping on drinks.

Moff Animal World is a facility where you can interact with a wide range of animals and even have the experience of feeding them. It includes areas such as the Cat Lounge and the Bird Park, as well as a farm area where sheep and alpacas live. In addition to these, there are reptiles, owls, large parrots, and even penguins! It’s a place filled with numerous opportunities to engage with all kinds of animals.

Depending on the location, we offer a variety of beverages including drinks topped with Moff’s original cute cat latte art, and a limited-time menu. Cat Café MOFF” is a cat cafe where you can enjoy delicious, carefully crafted drinks while spending a soothing time with adorable cats. It’s a place where you can escape from the everyday and enjoy a quality moment in our kitty cats. We invite you to enjoy this delightful experience.
Cat Cafe Cokkun’s VIlla
In Cokkun’s Villa, you can play with cats, touch them, hold them, or have conversations with friends and family. Surrounded by carefree cats in a healing space, we invite you to also spend a carefree moment of your own.
MOFF Petting Zoo
MOFF Petting Zoo is a zoo where you can interact with owls, small animals, exotic animals, and so on. Depending on the store, the animals available vary, so you can enjoy different experiences at each location.
Ostrich Kingdom
At Ostrich Kingdom (Dacho Ohkoku), which boasts the largest number of ostriches in Japan, you can enjoy the scenes of the farm throughout the four seasons as the ostriches run around the field.
At Ostrich Kingdom, our animals are raised in an environment rich with nature and meticulous hygiene management. Our dedicated staff pours their love into caring for the animals every day.
MOFF Petting Mobile Zoo
MOFF MOFF Petting Zoo is a facility where you can interact with animals such as owls, small animals, and exotic animals. As the animals vary by locations, you can enjoy a different experience at each store.
Ostrich Kingdom Production
Ostrich Kingdom (Dacho Ohkoku) Animal Productions provides animal talent appearances and services for film, TV shows, commercials, advertisements, events, promotional videos, CD covers, photoshoots, and on-location shooting. We also provide services for petting zoos, mobile zoos, and various events. Our farm in Ibaraki Prefecture, conveniently located only a 90-minute drive from Tokyo, is currently home to approximately 100 species and around 1,000 individual animals.
